As you all know this poor boy was in extreme pain and truly on the verge of death.

He is emaciated, his hind legs are paralyzed, bloodwork is all over the place, he is extremely anemic, has Ehrlichia and anaplasmosis (which can be a deadly tick born disease) and we were told he would never walk again.
But because I didn't see any major problems with his Skeletal x-rays, I couldn't understand how the vet could make that diagnosis.

His foster mama and I were truly scared for him, he really kept us on edge for a few days.
But his foster mom did not give up on him for a second and I was right by her side 100%!!!
Whenever she wanted to take him to the vet and to be honest it was daily and sometimes 2 times a day I supported her all the way ✅️

Poor Kenny was literally screaming all day and night in severe pain oh how he broke our hearts!!
But regardless of sleepless nights his foster mom was right by his side comforting him, cleaning him, giving him his meds and feeding him.

Kenny is severely anemic.
So, we, wanted to proceed with a blood transfusion and she has a sweet dog by the name of Sparky who is healthy. She said he's such a good boy that I know Sparky would be willing to give his blood to save Kenny.
Omg what a precious soul

But, for Sparky's safety I still wanted to wait until we got Kenny's distemper PCR test back from lab. I didn't want to put Sparky through anything invasive until I was sure, and we could proceed with a blood transfusion.

By the grace of God, Kenny's PCR test results came in on Friday 1 hr. before the vet closed for the weekend. (And it was NEGATIVE!!!) This was truly God's doing.
This is when I knew without a shadow of a doubt that Kenny was going to be alright❣️❣️❣️
Thank you, Jesus, for always being by my side and helping me with my rescue dog's.
You not only put a great foster in my life, but you gave us Sparky to save Kenny's life.

I promise no matter how long it takes me I will find Sparky a beautiful family and in an amazing forever home

Well friends, after sweet Sparky gave Kenny his blood, he immediately started feeling better!!! Kenny started eating more, antibiotics were actually working now, he stopped crying in pain, wanted to sleep outside his kennel and then two days later our precious boy surprised us all and stood to walk on his own for the very first time!!!!!! Yayyy Kenny.

Friends, due to your support and love for dogs
This is what happens when you trust and donate to a rescue that truly works hard for the voiceless!!! I could not have done this without your help. Thank you❣️❣️

Please continue to support TLC K9 Rescue so we can continue Kenny's vet visits, treatments and meds, he is still not out of the woods. He has a long way to go before his health is no longer guarded.
Once he's much better we will also schedule an appointment with an orthopedic specialist and start physical therapy.
