The story of Sweet Kika is one that will simultaneously break your heart and fill it with hope. We are still reeling from the shocking circumstances surrounding her rescue, as we learned her owner was going to kill her – an utterly despicable act. Imagine blaming an innocent 6-month-old puppy for the horrific consequences of their own irresponsible actions! Her previous owners planned to end her life, unbelievably blaming her because their two un-neutered male dogs brutally fought over her, leading to the tragic death of one of the males. Their twisted solution was to kill Kika. Thankfully, TLC K9 Rescue intervened just in time, snatching Kika from the brink of unthinkable tragedy. We are overjoyed to report that this precious girl is now safe, healthy, and thriving in our care. Since her rescue, Kika has received all necessary vetting, vaccinations, and has been spayed. This beautiful 22-pound Terrier Mix, is bursting with love and joy which is a testament of her resilience. She's wonderful with people and, when properly introduced, gets along well with other dogs. A little help with puppy obedience, leash training, and possibly potty training will undoubtedly help her flourish even more in a loving environment. Now, Kika needs the next crucial step in her journey: a loving foster home or forever home. Can you open your heart and home to this deserving girl while she awaits her forever family? Please consider fostering or adopting to help us give her the peaceful, joyful life she truly deserves. Our applications are available at www.tlck9rescue.org.
